About Us

The term 'Con Brio' is an interpretation marking for a piece of Music. It is Italian, and it means, 'Play with Spirit'.

Con Brio is in it's eighth year. We want to put emphasis on education and experience, and we believe in its visceral intent.

The Con Brio School of Music is the ambition and profession of Larry Silvestro.

Nature has provided us with the Gift of Music. Our job is to perpetuate it.

And so, teachers come forth to pass on the knowledge and skill, so that all of us can continue to communicate with the Unseen and with each other.

More exists than what you see. Music allows us a glimpse.

CON BRIO is a low maintenance school. We don�t stand on ceremony too much, just provide good, steady instruction for a reasonable fee. Students and parents will hear the progress. The biographies of the teachers are available at any time at the school, because a student should know something about his teacher. There is more happening than just lessons. We annually have short courses on Theory, Ear Training, and guitar techniques. Recitals are presented twice a year. We try to teach more than just the instrument.
